The links below allow you to download new sets of star "bitmaps" for SkyMap Pro 10 onwards. To use one of these new sets of bitmaps, proceed as follows:
| Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the SkyMap Pro installation directory and from there to the "Data\Bitmaps" folder. There you will see a set of files with names of the form "starx.bmp" where "x" is a number. Delete all these files. |
| Unzip the new set of bitmaps into this same folder. |
| The next time you run SkyMap, you will see the new bitmaps. |
| If you wish to recover the original bitmaps, either copy them back from the SkyMap installation CD-ROM, or download the "original" bitmap set below. |
